politicians lie all the time. it just depends what on. i'm okay with the president reassuring, calming and being positive in a tough situation (even if its false hope) instead of telling the whole country we're fucked and we're all going to die. theres a lot the US could've done better but giving the people hope isn't one of those.

lets be honest, preventing panic is government 101 regardless of who is in office. your statement has little to do with trump lying but more with you hating trump in the first place. anyone in power would've done the same thing as he did like the prime minister of my country has done as well.
