Any progress was put forth before the current administration. Any looming "doomsday" is only being accelerated by cuts to the EPA and stripping of legislation in place to protect the environment. Stating that we put an enormous amount of effort into protecting the environment while degrading the people that put those protections in place is ludicrous, almost as if you begrudge those protections. And the whole "never satisfied by any progress" point is just from the perspective of one who expects so little from life that they belittle those who strive for a better world for future generations. What a dumb cause, trying to improve life for everyone. I'm sure Jesus would hate that.
