Sadly, reddit is a good metric. Hear me out. Everyone uses the internet, reddit is a fairly good model of what coastal cities are like. The problem is that all popular forms of online interaction is owned by liberals. Conservative opinions in general are banned, or dissuaded. With some minor exceptions, of course. So, the interaction is always one-sided. Its hard to hold right-wing opinions as a liberal. Regardless of how rational they are. So, I'm stuck in the middle. I am staunchly against the idiocy that is identity politics. Which is also an impossible position for a liberal nowadays. No one is talking to anyone about anything, they are just screaming across the isle. This sub is the worst. It has nothing to do with actual politics. Its extreme leftists jerking each other off.
