Trump: "Maybe the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN should have their own rally. It would be the biggest of them all!" Bernie: "They did. It wasn't."

I've voted for the Republicans, the Democrats, the Vermont Progressive Party, independents, 3rd party, you name it. I don't give two shits what "side" a candidate is on. And, to be fair, Obama actually won the popular vote, too. Trump lost the popular vote by the largest margin in American history while still winning the EC. Now, I don't for one second think he cheated, or found a loophole, or that he should be kicked out and replaced by Clinton (fuck her too!). He won, fair and square, and ought to serve his 4 years to the end. But I believe the fact he lost the popular vote by such a huge margin is enough to at least warrant a discussion about our system: is it working for us? are there ways to tweak it so that the views of Americans as a whole are better represented? are there ways to encourage more people to vote? are there ways to make sure the minority isn't overwhelmed by the majority, while also not overwhelming the majority in return? These are valid questions, and having a discussion about our political systems is a healthy thing in a Democracy such as ours. If the majority of Americans decide the EC is working well, then fine. But that doesn't mean we can't talk about it. Perhaps more Americans than we think would like to take a fresh look at how our country works and how we can make it better.
