Trump saying he wants to be president for life and jailing political opponents is very concerning to say the least.

If a billionaire president thinks a trade war is a good idea especially when taking into account the economic growth already seen in his presidency I'm not going to argue.

Killing drug dealers doesn't seem like the worst idea when you consider how drugs like meth are becoming a huge global issue but at the same time we need to address big pharma and how bad prescription drug addiction is with the same ferocity.

The one thing that really irks me is I feel like you and a lot of others are ignoring the nuance in regards to his due process comment. I think he was more leaning toward if you've shown violent intent then police can take away your arms rather than having to wait for the lengthy process of the courts which could be a really great way at reducing mass shootings as many mass shooters have given very real warning signs. In the future if police are able to take away peoples arms with reasonable evidence of violent intent we could stop this kind of thing from happening again.

I think the gun topic is really hard to address but I think the only way forward without infringing on the second amendment rights is to give law enforcement at a local level the ability to intervene and while this would be very tricky to enforce and would open the door for potential abuse but could really help
