Trump, on his way to an important meeting at Chuck E Cheese

Sorry, sweetie. I am an-expat living in China. I was locked down for more than three months. The government and the people here took the pandemic very seriously. Starting from late January, we stayed at home, we wore masks, we followed hygiene protocols, we social distanced. We traced contacts. We tested.

The US's response was, and continues to be, a total fucking joke in comparison. And that is on Trump. He's the "leader" of the country. The buck stops with him. Stop trying to make lame excuses for his incompetence. He initiated the travel ban on January 31, but did not advise states to lock down until March! He sat on his thumbs for more than a month while the virus spread. That is not leadership.

He downplayed the seriousness of the outbreak at every opportunity. If he took this pandemic seriously, he would be wearing a mask, he would be social distancing, he would NOT be supporting lockdown protestors, he would NOT be holding fucking rallies!

You can blame Woodward. You can blame Pelosi. You can blame Coumo. You can blame the fucking Easter Bunny. But the fact is, we have 200,000 dead Americans due to Trump's absolute failure in leadership. Period. Nothing your politically-biased ass can say will change that.
