Trump is on a twitter rant about Canada charging "270% tariff on US dairy products" -- Googled and I can't find it, can anyone confirm this number?

Are we?

Yes. I, twice now, specifically asked why poultry is supply managed when the product can be frozen.

Why does it matter if Canada prefers supply chain management

Supply management, not supply chain management.

Edit: perhaps I'm misunderstanding you...

Perhaps I misunderstand you? You said that beef doesn't need to be supply managed because the product can be frozen, but poultry products can also be frozen. Why does it need to be supply managed?

Notably the beef market suffers extreme price volatility, that there are cattle price insurance schemes for farmers.

But that sounds like a good reason to have beef supply management. Why isn't beef supply managed?
