Trump replaces 'E pluribus unum' with 'Make America Great Again' on presidential coin

I thank postal workers. I also thank the shop sales people (at like the grocery store or movies or pharmacy or whatever) for working if I stop in on a holiday. Like, "Hey, thanks for working today and not being at home with your families. You made my life a whole lot easier by being here. Thanks."

Long story short: that's about as much thanks as I give to military people, too.

TBH, I didn't realize the number of people who thank service members for their service until I was dating a guy in the military. We would meet for lunch (so he'd be in his uniform) and almost every time, someone would pay for our lunch. Plus, at least 3-4 people would stop by and thank him for his service. It was weird and creepy to me! I had no idea this was a thing!!! (This was 2010-ish, btw.) I just wanted to be like, "IT'S A JOB, PEOPLE. He comes home from work, feeds his kids, we watch fucking TV and then go to bed and he does it all again in the morning. IT'S JUST A JOB." Of course, its more than that for people who deploy, but it all just seemed so cult-like!
