Trump says he rejected a meeting with Canada that Canada says it never requested

How can Trump be the embodiment of the elite establishment if he was shunned not only by the Democrats (obviously), but was also shunned by much of the Republican establishment?

Albeit quirky and a little bit loose with his mouth at times, I don't understand that after so many years of everyday people complaining about 'those corrupt politicians in DC', we finally get a non-politican in office and all people can complain about is how he isn't polished like a slime-dog career politician.

I used to hate Trump, like many of you, until I really began digging, watching all his press conferences and reading sources from both sides of the fence. By all means, have you own opinion and criticise the man when its due - but it seems reddit these days is a huge echo chamber and we have all learnt from facebook how dangerous that can be!
