Trump says he spoke to a Taliban leader, had ‘good talk’ — Trump confirmed he spoke on phone to a Taliban leader, making him first U.S. president believed to have ever spoken directly with group responsible for deaths of thousands of U.S. troops. The Taliban harbored al-Qaida before 9/11 attacks.

Probably thousands, not millions, of civilians but i see where you're coming from. The combined civilian deaths of America's wars in the middle east and Africa is about 335,000 according to the Watson Institute. Raytheon doesnt make every bomb and bullet either. And i dont see how they would be responsible for thousands of Americans' deaths'?

It seems like people blame the MIC for the colossal mistakes of national leadership. Yes you could argue the MIC has bought the politicians. But the corrupt leaders that make these senseless wars hold the lions share of responsibility. I also think there were naive senior leaders who really thought that you could use the military to nation build.
