That's why I was saying I think Canada's system is better with dealing with this. Mostly cause it seems like so many people cant even apply for unemployment in a lot of states or are having a hell of a time getting it. At least with this you would get 2000 extra if you're reduced pay enough which should be substantially more money than a payroll tax cut which wouldn't be even close to that unless you make over 500 thousand a year. Also we have given raises toba lot of front line workers as well.

This payroll tax cut seems like its really going to benefit the rich especially if it does screw over Medicaid or social security.

I know I am an outsider and maybe I am wrong but it seems like this is the direction the majority of western countries are taking except the states.
