Trump says US stands with Saudi Arabia despite journalist Khashoggi's killing

Thank you. This is what foreigners don't understand, and it's so frustrating to me as a liberal American when people ask "Why haven't you removed him as president yet?!"

We The People don't have a process for that. We don't have recall votes or anything like that.

There are two processes to remove the president. One is impeachment, which requires overwhelming (2/3) support from the Senate. Republicans control the Senate. Republicans impeaching their own party's president would destroy the party. So THAT'S not going to happen, they would all lose their power.

The other way is if the VP & Cabinet all agree he is unfit to serve. But since the president picks the cabinet members, they're biased. This process is reserved for literal disability such as the president is injured and unconscious.

That's it. Republicans hold all the cards, and removing Trump would destroy their own party.
