Trump’s War on Pot Could Split Republicans in 2018

I agree. Do you think the liberal party has already split in a similar way? The progressives vs the neo-liberals? I feel like this is sort of happening but the neo-liberals want to be all like "Oh oh, no no I'm progressive as hell, fam!" I feel like the Tea Partiers kind of ate the Neocons back in the Sarah Palin as running mate days, sort of libertarian-like but way more evangelical than your run of the mill Silicon Valley Randian. I worry the same thing is going to happen with a newly "progressive" liberal party, the progressives will ease into being the more dominant flavour, but all the things I like about the progressive agenda will be ignored. It'll be Oprah's mystical secret to dealing with social issues, free college but my student loans won't go away, and we'll never get single payer insurance... meanwhile these tea party "libertarians" are gonna be all like "Meh, no, lets keep the drug war going, and we need to keep on spending on the military, but not roads... never roads."
