Trump to scrap NASA climate research in crackdown on "politicized science"

NASA focus on space exploration rather than climate science and redirect future climate change studies to other organizations.

It's not an either-or proposition, it's not like funding is being dedicated to climate science that would otherwise go to space research. NASA is an independent agency, as has been pointed out in this thread, the other organizations aren't.

Not saying I agree that NASA should stop doing climate science but seriously relax you guys.

To what end? Seriously, what would that accomplish or avoid? The president is making political changes to "avoid politicization", provides basically no cogent explanation for those, we're discussing it, and your suggestion is to relax?
