Trump seems to advocate for racial profiling in CBS interview: how will the GOP react to this?

The point of his campaign is that we can't reduce every single conversation to a question of "who is more racist". Right now, if I said the sky was blue, and someone else said the sky was purple, and he also said that I was racist or cis or a "f***ing white male" before I said the same about him, he would win the argument. I'm literally afraid of having conversations at work about anything besides work, because I'm one lazy-thought away from being called a bigot and being thrown out on my ass every single day.

Most statements that people regard as "racist" are just being socially awkward. I remember a year ago, meeting a new coworker who was from Nepal. My brain desperately struggled with "what did I know about Nepal? What insightful thing could I say to create a social bond with this person I will be working with! Everest, Sherpas, mountaineering. Ok, I'll ask him if he is a Sherpa and if he has climbed Everest! Brilliant!"

Those words almost left my mouth and I almost looked like an idiot. I can imagine the awkward conversation with HR that would have ensued.

So, even if Trump is a little bit prejudice, who friggin cares? He had had thirty years to abuse his prejudice, and has not seemed to do anything that is clearly to the detriment of other races. And why are white people the only ones who have to watch their language? Why don't white people get to be proud that when we run countries, we actually share power with non-whites? Where else does that happen? Name a country that isn't run by whites where more than one race shares power.

Focus on things like Trump's anti-science stances. (But then don't ignore the fact that the belief that there are more than two genders is also anti-science). Focus on his lack of foreign policy experience, but then don't ignore how much experience he has negotiating deals with foreign businessmen. Focus on his family if you'd like, but then don't pretend that Chelsea is off-limits. Just stop making every friggin conversation about race.

For the record, I am married to a non-white and have two mixed daughters. So I have to be able to talk about these things without getting all hyperbolic. Reddit seems like a good place to practice and see where I'm being stupid.
