Ok no. NPR wrote both articles. NPR is a pretty neutral source. You notice the ‘despite the coronavirus pandemic’ the second article? That’s because they think it is just as stupid as the blm gatherings.

Now for Trump, the media have been saying for weeks not to gather in large spaces and running stories spotlighting people who ‘weren’t properly practicing social distancing’ and ‘businesses who weren’t following guidelines’. Now because one white scumbag murders a black man, social gathering is perfectly fine.

Trump is playing by the new ground rules that have been clearly set; if it’s important enough, social distancing doesn’t apply. I would imagine his rallies are rather important to him therefore he is following the subjective rule in full.
