Absolutely nothing in your argument here addresses the point.
Yet ISIS rose to power, nearly took over two entire countries, and orchestrated terror attacks throught the Middle East and the West long before Trump even entered the picture.
And? What does it matter when Trump entered the picture? How does that negate the argument that his anti Islamic rhetoric and policies will only help ISIS frame the situation as a war against all of Islam instead of against some lunatic zealots?
Seems to me that having Obama and Hillary in charge has been more beneficial to ISIS's recruitment efforts than a tweet or statement by Trump ever could.
We aren't just talking about a "tweet or a statement" though. We are talking about a candidate for US President whose policies include a ban on Muslim immigration and who like you doesn't understand how framing the situation as a war against all of Islam alongside those unconstitutional policies plays directly into the hands of ISIS and will only help them find recruits. Otherwise your critique of how the current administration has dealt with terrorists is also irrelevant. A fallacy that seeks to evade the issue at hand.
Besides, if ISIS has frightened us so much that we can't even talk about radical Islam then they have already won. I choose to believe that this isn't the case.
Yet another straw man. Who said we can't even talk about radical Islam? You either refuse to or are unable to grasp that having a presidential candidate running on a policy of ripping up the constitution so he can ban an entire religion from immigrating to the US and otherwise blaming US Muslims as complicit and framing the situation as a war against all Islam just might actually help ISIS recruit is the point we are debating here.
You can try and vilify every Muslim on Earth here with little charts and bluster all you want. I am not as full of fear/hysteria as you are, and that isn't about to change. You can deflect, build straw men and mete out insults all you want as well. But you cannot and will not be able to make an argument that negates the fact that Trump's policies and rhetoric will in fact alienate many Muslims, stir up anti Islamic sentiment among the witless and the cowardly, make the situation worse all around, including by providing ISIS with plenty of propaganda fodder for radicalizing and recruiting. That is the point of the article linked here and the only point I am interested in.
