I trust Snapple facts more than CNN and Fox News.

I do not trust any news if the people delivering the content are from a for profit business. Why would anyone for that matter? Sure 50 years ago when we had values bigger then money maybe, but not now, no fuckn way. I trust an ordinary nobody citizen with a phone camera filming an event with only his/her reactions as audio as news. I consider Court documents News. I consider publications such as Journals by Scientists as news, but I do not consider opinion, conjecture, and profit motive based organizations as even being qualified or capable of delivering accurate, truthful facts and news. I do not consider government statements newsworthy unless they are fact checked by reputable sources for accuracy and truthfulness. News organizations, like governments are just not built to deliver that to anyone. You cannot maintain a hierarchy in complex and vast societies like ours without lying, a lot, and successfully. Its important to distinguish if a "news" station is infotainment or actual journalism. Sometimes the line can be blurred as some shows have integrity and others do not, but generally, if a Billionaire is profiting by it, I just assume its a fully compromised flow of information that serves as little more function then as a mouthpiece for our rulers. The sad part is our entire society and our very safety is based on the majority of citizens continuing to believe the lies, for if they stopped, and knew and believed the truth there would inevitably chaos, anarchy, and an end to law abiding behaviors as the norm. In other words, we would no longer have nice things. So its fine for some of us to know that our society is all lies, but a smart person realizes the necessity of those lies required for our very survival. I think that is a big part of the shitty aspect of what intelligence agencies deal with, and why they inevitably turn on themselves and their countries as we are seeing across western civilization at this time. Eventually to them, everyone is an enemy, and all decisions are made from a environment of paranoia, fear, and distrust. I thank God to be alive every morning because each moment we are alive is a miracle. Why? Because 70 years after developing nukes we are still here to discuss it... That is the greatest miracle of our collective lifetimes.
