Truth of factory farms: Chickens are genetically modded to grow too quickly for their legs to support them.

Not in all cases. Yes, there will be places that mistreat the chickens, but there will also be places that follow the rules. So far I’ve only seen that there are issues if the chickens live too long, so that doesn’t seem so bad to me unless there’s more to the story.

My philosophy professor wrote a paper on this kind of stuff saying that these chickens would not have been born if there was not a human population with a demand for meat. He went into depth about what constitutes as a “good life” for an animal. A short life can still be a “good life,” especially when the animal doesn’t have hopes and dreams of tomorrow. As long as they are properly sheltered, fed, and handled (including when being killed), people can argue that they will have a “good life.”

Now I would agree with you if these chicken were in constant pain upon being born, but so far I have only seen that there are complications if not killed in time.
