To add to this I have spoken with Christians from Iraq, which is one of the oldest Christian communities in the world by the way. Anyway, they said that sure Sadam Hussein was not a good man but they could live in the country. Enter Americans, and then after a while they couldn't live there anymore. Today the Christian Iraqis are almost all gone from the country. I won't go into detail what the ones I have spoken with went through.

One of them said sarcastically (but angry) about the whole 'liberation' thing: "Before the war I could talk with my neighbours and have dinner with them, whatever religion they had. Afterwards I could not. Is this democracy?"
