That could be the same for tops who’ve never tried bottoming because of fear. Why not scrutinize them too?

There are tons of threads talking about the reasons why some of the people that identify exclusively as tops do that, reasons like internalized homophobia, toxic masculinity, cultural stigma about homosexuality being centered mostly on passivity, etc.

Yes, we fucking should. We should all scrutinize all of our choices and how they contribute to or detract from lives. In this case, yeah, it's relevant when so many gay people are alone that don't want to be and feel that gay dating is a hopeless experience that we have the tendency as a subculture to divide even further along these arbitrary lines.
