The truth is that money does solve almost all of our problems

It does, but there's something to knowing how to make money as well. If you just give someone a lump sum of money, it's very likely they'll burn through it and be in the exact same position as before. Stability isn't just money, it's being able to make and manage it as well.

Of my friends, the ones with the least money make the most frivolous purchases, things like pop! Figurines, the 12th version of a thing they already have, lots of weed, ect. Don't get me wrong, people should be able to enjoy themselves, but delayed gratification is a pretty useful skill to learn. Either that, or they're constantly jumping around from menial job to menial job, burning bridges along the way.

I'm not saying it's fair, in fact, I hate it. I look forward to a day where people actually get a thriving wage for working, it's infuriating. But this world is still very much driven by natural selection, it's just that the rules have changed. Those who can adapt will thrive, and those who can't, won't. It's not at all fair, some of us have to work waaay harder than others to get a much worse quality of life, but that's the game, thats the world we live in. Unfortunately, if you want to get ahead you have to use the rules to your advantage, because each of us are individually way to small to change them. That's just life.
