I would argue that your idea of “typical” is forcing people to conform to your idea of a human, when a human can be whatever it wants. What is a piercing? Definitely not natural, no one is born with piercings. Tattoos? Why do you stop at adding appendages, unless it’s a penis or breasts? Are those things OK because society has convinced you they are? So if in the future, having wings becomes normalized, because it becomes a fashion trend that leads to surgeries, would you be OK with wings then? Once society has accepted them?

I’m not even gonna bring up how common it is to have an animal or multiple animals living in the home that people spend way more time with than other humans nowadays.
