TSA argues for impunity for checkpoint staff who rape travelers

The TSA does not do strip searches, according to their website and spokesperson and training. They definitely are not allowed to do body cavity searches.

Some rudimentary Googling suggests that it isn't this clear.

I'm not defending this agent, just pointing out that this is a gray area.

To put it simply, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents and border patrol agents need no warrant and no probable cause to conduct a body cavity search if they think one is necessary.
