Hey everyone. I've had a pretty bad couple of days and writing here to see if this has happened to anyone else as I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do.

Started yesterday when I woke up. I had pretty bad pain at the top of my uterus, and after three hours of what I thought were escalating braxton Hicks contractions (even though they were sometimes only minutes apart and lasting 20 to 50 secs) they were staying just at the top and sides and not getting regular. I called my midwife after they'd subsided a little and she basically said probably BH and if they come back/are there in the afternoon then go in to see the midwives at the ward. At about 3pm (after some food) it came back but less intense. Still enough to make me worry so I went in to see a midwife (side note, I hope I don't get her during delivery as she was not a good personality fit for me, to be polite!) and she chatted to the Dr and his guess was it was more to do with my digestion plus baby's head is pushing upwards right at the top of my uterus possibly disturbing my digestive stuff.

Had small dinner at home and got the pain again pretty bad, so yep, the Dr is probably right. But since then it hurts to drink water and after lunch today I had the stabbing pain for an hour and was pacing around. Surely pregnancy heartburn isn't supposed to be THAT bad?

Overnight I took de-gas in case it was trapped wind. Bowel movements are fine. Not dehydrated. I went and got gaviscon this morning and have had that after every meal/snack (not eating much because of pain) but I'm still aching as if damage has been done to my insides (possibly from the acid reflux?) and the pain is still happening when I sip water or move too quickly or sit for too long or lay down.

There's a heatwave here too atm so I can't comfortably go for a walk to see if that helps either. I've just managed to walk the dog, which was uncomfortable, and that's it.

So, anyone else around 27 weeks or after have any experience with bad acid reflux like this? Or anything similar? Is this normal? I've had my gallbladder out already so it's not gallstones, though it feels similar. I just can't decide if I should go see a GP or wait it out a couple of days to see if it will subside. I don't wanna be a moaning pregnant woman but I just can't see how pain like this could be normal - am I a wimp compared to other women?!

Any help appreciated!
