Tubeless converts

  1. Get proper tubeless stuff. The real tape, good valves, good tires etc. Lots of people that have a problem are trying to use a cludged-together setup, they don't work. Exception: 3M 8898 tape is the exact same thing as Stan's tape. If you can find the exact width of 8898 you need, it works great. 2. I don't recommend those pressure chamber pumps. For about the same money, buy a six gallon pancake compressor and a Prestaflator. It will make your life so much easier, especially if you have lots of tubeless bikes. 3. Spraying down the tires with a little soapy water before trying to mount it makes everything far easier and will ensure you properly seat the beads. It's critical that you get the entire bread in the center trough of the room before trying to mount the last few inches of tie. Do it right and you shouldn't need tire levers. 4. Put the sealant in after mounting the tires, trying to get a tire seated with sealant sloshing around is a recipe for making a mess. Forget those syringe injectors, just use one of the two ounce Stan's bottles to squirt it in via the valve stem. You can refill the bottles.
