Turk loves Bridgeland...

I hope/ am choosing to believe that Turk is Calgary's patron fowl, something of a municipal deity and paladin of poultry. Protecor of all things 403 and 587...

But the less whimsical part of my brain wonders if there is more than just one turkey living it up in our lovely city right now...

Many critters were displaced by construction.of the ring road, ( I can say for sure this happened in s.w, likely elsewhere too but thats a guess). For example, my parents have lived in the same house at the end of 21st street southwest right close to where glenmore and crowchild intersect, had never before seen a bobcat anywhere close to the neighborhood, not in any of the forest by their place, down by the resevoir, nothing.

Last summer tho my mum was gardening and heard footsteps on the fence, no big deal they have 2 cats surely it was just buster or lily. She says she finished trimming w/e plant she was trimming and thought itd be a cool picture of the cat on the fence, only to look up and see a full grown bob cat lying on the fence sun bathing like a housecat. To my mums credit she got the photo and then ran inside haha. Since then they're a weekly presence in the backyard and i fret about them eating my cats :( not to mention i see a ton orf pics on here ppl have taken of bobcats so i dont think the situation is unique
