Turkey to ban teaching evolution in schools

That could be true. What's your gut feeling? Is he actually a Christian or is just going through the motions? I obviously think he's just going through the motions. His stance on gay marriage has "changed" a lot if you think his beliefs are directly related to his words. I don't think that is case on issues like these though. I think he and most politicians wait until the political winds are on their backs to enact the policies they really want. I think Obama was a supporter of gay marriage well before his presidency and still is. Here's a quote from Obama on gay marriage. OCTOBER 2010: " I have been to this point unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage primarily because of my understandings of the traditional definitions of marriage," President Obama said during an interview with liberal bloggers. "But I also think you're right that attitudes evolve, including mine. And I think that it is an issue that I wrestle with and think about because I have a whole host of friends who are in gay partnerships." I don't think Obama ever cared about the "traditional definitions of marriage". I think he was just playing the game until the winds of mass opinion were in his favor, and he no longer had too. The winds have not yet shifted on the Christianity requirement, and I think that is why he has acted accordingly.
