A Turkish captain and Korean little girl, Seoul, are reading American comics together during the Korean War, 1951, Korean Peninsula. [1500x1875]

No, Japanese Imperialism caused the divide. During the Japanese take over of China and its neighboring countries like Korea, Northern Korea adapted to communism from their chinese neighbors in order to fight back and survive.

North Korea’s over-militarization of their country is a product of the aftermath of many years of war with Japan.

Then came the Korean War which was one of the many proxy wars like vietnam against communism. The South believed in allying with Western countries while the North blamed them for giving the Japanese guns in the first place.

All in all, In todays age I wish the North Korean Govt would be dissolved and we could be united, however I also believe that Korea might not exist today without them due to japanese culture cleansing.

complicated situation to defuse.
