Turn by turn car navigation system from 1971

All good until you come across some road works/a road closure. Then you're gubbed.

I mean, you're kind of complaining about a prototype audio navigational system that wasn't commonplace until 30+ years later.

No kidding you'd be screwed if there were road work.

Most people were using Mapquest until 2006-ish, or getting AAA "triptik" booklets.

Even when people had GPS units in their car, there were no real time updates in the mid 00's.

And most people avoided using their smartphones for GPS in the late 00's because it cost too much, and they weren't usually real time updated either.

But you're going to complain about this prototype system from 1971!?
