Turns out Marx and Lenin didn't really know what they were doing after all. Who could've known?

That wasn't the logic I was referring to but fair enough.

I would never suggest that other nations didn't do similar stuff, and, in some cases, more horrible stuff. My point is that communism took them to a whole new level. Even conservative estimates say that the 3 regimes mentioned had, and continue to have, a death toll in the tens of millions in an age where there is no excuse for the abuse and brutality leveled on a nation's own people. While west wasn't innocent in the cold war, far from it in fact, the communist bloc were rather antagonistic themselves. It takes two to tango, as the saying goes. So, no sympathy there. Sure, the colonial era allowed European nations to progress rapidly at the expense of other continents but two world wars negated that to a rather large degree. The communist nations did do rather well, but at an unbelievably huge cost to their people both in lives lost and quality of living.

Now on to your next paragraph. I'm going to address it in point form, it's just easier for me:

  1. Nazi killing: The west did just as much so it's rather a moot point.

  2. Satellite launching: see the above point.

  3. Raising a broken country to superpower status: this is true, but was it worth the millions of lives lost, and many millions more reduced to abject poverty, to do it? I don't believe so.

  4. Second world's largest power: I have no idea what you are referring to here. Sorry, it's a bit vague... :(

  5. Tetris: I'll give you this one, Tetris is a masterpiece! :D

In closing I would like to thank you for actually engaging in a discussion instead of trolling/using slurs to brow beat a victory. I appreciate it! :)
