Tutoring - Do you need help?

I think for the sake of writing a Reddit post that can be overlooked. I’m not planning on teaching anyone English or grammar.

Most people have trouble writing basic paragraphs and lack research skills, the fine minutiae is rather irrelevant in this instance and all of that can be proofed and corrected at the appropriate time.

I’m not looking for work. I’m looking to help people.

But as kiwis I know how we love to insert ourselves into other peoples business. Highlight their mistakes. And derail any attempts they might make to stand out. Thanks for your constructive criticism. But your tall poppy syndrome has no place here.

This is the reason people in our country fear success and don’t ask for help. Because we make a point of correcting people, and aggressively hindering their actual potential for growth.

I think I can be forgiven for making a few mistakes given that I wrote this post at 4 in the morning in a hurry, and it probably has more to do with the technology I wrote it on than my actual abilities.

Thanks but no thanks. I love how this is the second time I’ve written a post like this and every time I do it’s devolved into people actually shutting it down than actually just keeping their unneeded “critiques” to themselves.
