Think twice before volunteering at liquor licensed events. It could land you in jail.

What if it's no one's fault?

What if life is so unknowingly complex that finding "blame" is a wholly stupid action to undertake. That anything that happens occurs due to an array of previous actions so incredibly vast and unknowable that even hazarding to place any particular structure at fault would be an act of complete idiocy!

No that would be consistent with chemistry, physics, and other physical sciences. People actually have absolute autonomy and can choose their actions regardless of their surrounding environment. Nothing influences choice, beyond a humans mystical ability to force reality into being. At any given time you can simply choose to act a completely different way then your entire life has led you to act. All past experiences can instantly be revoked because we humans have personal responsibility. The magical power that lets anyone choose their own destiny.

Personal responsibility is a logical fallacy. It's what people cry when they can't understand other people actions. It's fundamental attribution error. Cognitive behavior therapy is one of the biggest treatments for mental illness and other neurological issues. It's incredibly frustrating to go through therapy to get a better grasp of your reality only to find that everyone else is pretty fucking delusional as well. If personal responsibility is a thing then CBT can't exist. The alternative to personal responsibility isn't "it's everyone else's fault". It's that things are complex and no one is ever fully to blame for anything. So no solution can be found by searching for blame. Instead just look at what is happening and see the entire thing as a system. It's all part of the problem and no individual piece exists on its own. It's not helpful to put responsibility on any individual even yourself. You may need to adjust your behavior, but your environment is very well also a factor.

I mean humans are giant self perpetuating chemical reactions. I don't see how any of that leaves room for personal responsibility. Any group of chemicals we call life just reacts to its environment until death. No room for personal responsibility. There is merely the illusion due to the complexity of our ability to effect our own behavior through social cognition.
