Twitch streamer suggests a game should have random scripted events to make the game more interesting, experiences a random scripted event.

It's not an out of this world claim... In order for the random event to trigger in the game, there needs to be a command/triggerpoint for it to happen...
This means that there could be theoretically a build of the game sent to him in which they KNOW where the event will occcur.
Tell him ahead of time: "hey, when you get to the lake this scripted rare event will occur after a little while... maybe play up how awesome they are and how the game would be better with them before it triggers ok?".

I'm not saying this absolutely 100% happened, i'm saying it's entirely plausible this is what occured, and he has a history of pulling these stunts in the past.
