I'm so glad someone said something like this. I thought I was going crazy. "If someone does this then I'd immediately unfollow." Good. Odds are, the people who have this mindset and say shit like this generally add no value to the platform/individual communities. Most streamers probably don't care about you at all (with obvious exceptions). You're not part of their community and they'd be happy to show you the door.

Full time streamers put out hours and hours of free content. They're also streaming to make a living. Without income from streaming, there are no streamers. It's insane how entitled most people sound in this thread. Obviously, some streamers will overuse this feature. However, it'll most likely be used as a way to show appreciation to their community - the members that matter, at least. Not the toxic, entitled little boys and girls that get sad when a creator closes the door for 1 night a fuckin month. I'm actually looking forward to this so I can enjoy the streamers I support without the background noise of sweaty edgelords saying shit that they would never say or do in real life.

I don't know why this is making me so mad. I use my twitch prime and have actually only subbed to a handful of other streamers. I actually find it pretty bizarre how much content I can see without dropping much money at all. I feel like most of the salty ones here are teenagers who, I guess, haven't worked a real job before? I guess that could put it into perspective a bit as to why there is such a disconnect from reality.

Obviously, this could be a bummer for the people that legit don't have the funds to support. And I really understand the frustration there. You still aren't owed unlimited free content (read: somebody working to entertain you for free). For the other people that are sad, throwing empty threats, and just want everything for free: unfollow, never watch, talk shit, but be sure to eat a dick.
