Twitchcon Europe cancelled due to coronavirus

The problem is not the flu coronavirus itself but the panic that emerged due to fear mongering and media of course jumping up on that train.

If people would just fucking chill.. hospitals wouldn't be that busy and life would just go on. Yeah some people would die but so would people die from a flu or other diseases.

And very important: I'm not saying the flu virus isn't dangerous. It certainly is for some people, but there is really no reason to gather up supplies and fight people over toilet paper.

The ratio between risk and panic is just way out of proportion and makes the problem itself just so much bigger than what it actually is. Again, not saying that the virus itself is not a problem, just saying that it WILL get downplayed because the reaction are just so out of proportion. It's almost like people have waited for something like this to happen and now everyone goes into survival mode. It could be handled so much easier...
