[Twitter Bullshit] "None of these characters [Rosalina, Tetra, Samus, Bayonetta] are mainstream." So people who don't play or even have beyond an entry level of understanding about the games should decide what's in them? Sounds about right.

I still don't understand why this Matt Binder fellow is talking like he's disagreeing with the author of the article. I mean, here's the situation as I comprehend it:

  • Article suggests that these characters are obscure ("Have you heard of most of these characters? Didn't think so.")

  • Binder gets all haughty with the author ("step out of your bubble"), then... agrees these characters are obscure??? ("none of these characters are mainstream")

Waaait, never mind, my brain switched back on I think . The article's claiming that most of these characters are obscure, while Binder's saying all of them are. Goddamn, is such a small difference really deserving of such condescension? Are SJWs contractually obligated to be asshats?

Also, let's just take a moment to reflect on the fact that of all possible scenes the article could have used to show Bayonetta undergoing "unnecessary sexualization", they went with a clip of a Joy disguised as Bayonetta as it reveals its true form.
