Twitter Stadia community these past few days...

This pseudo-populist gaming culture has developed so people no longer reflect on the fact it's still an entertainment medium at its core. What's simple or fun doesn't make some people happy lately.

It's the same putrid narrative that games can be "dead" (see Fall Guys tweets) despite astounding evidence within active player counts.

It's sad but the bizarre commentary is here to stay as long as streamers or other influential figures/groups push the idea that childhood nostalgia and "what is brand new or widely pre-established or acclaimed" is the only two arcs of gaming. The reality luckily isn't this but a lot of younger people are driven to it.
