two tickets for the joker, please

I was kinda excited to see the movie. The trailer looked good, but the more I thought about it, it does appear to be glorifying the actions of someone who shares a lot of traits modern incels have. I don't think it'll inspire violence, but it does attract an audience I don't want to be associated with.

I won't be seeing it opening night, that's for sure. And to be honest, I may not see it in theaters unless reviews turn around a bit and it becomes a "must-see." The subject matter is something I despise and I won't pay money to see it glorified by one of my favorite comic book villains.

I'm just quoting my own reply to a similar comment. For me, the movie is on thin ice, mainly because of the character's motivations and similarity to modern incels.
