Typical salaries for mid-tier international schools?

Thanks again for all the advice you provided

I'm currently teaching math to grade 10 and grade 12 in Thailand. The classes have about 10 students each

Because I'm the only one teaching high school math, I'm unsure of how exactly to teach. I've tried to follow the I do, We do, You do model

What I've typically done is go through the theory, then me and the students work on an example together. What I've done is call out one student to come to the front of the class and work on it on the whiteboard. Some of the other students speak in Thai to each other or to help the student in the front. Should I allow this? Or force them to be quiet and allow only the student in the front talk?

Then, for the "You do" part, I have the students work on problems in the book. Some students will talk to each other and look at others' work. Should I allow this? I'm concerned that forcing them to not talk discourages collaboration, but if I let them talk, the clueless kids will just copy the work off the smarter kids

What do you think?
