The tyranny of hookup culture

When I got divorced I gave tinder a try. At first it was like Disney world for adults. Easy casual sex almost at the press of a button. But after a while I started to realize how empty and meaningless all that is. At a certain point, even for a guy, it ends up leaving you unsatisfied and wanting more.

The worst part was, it was changing me for the worse. I was treating women more and more like objects. Even more awful, this seemed to only make it easier to use tinder to get laid. But it got harder and harder to build a meaningful relationship.

I got rid of Tinder. I still haven't found that special relationship yet, and I'm not hooking up any more, but I'm actually happier and in a better place because of it.
