Tyre Nichols/police reform protests

I can't help but think that the day to day grind of police work doesn't somehow affect police officers.

They used to say it was a white cop /black offender racial thing. I'm not so sure that's the case. I think it's much more complicated than that.

The psychology of arrests, release, arrests, being shot at, etc.has to wear on a cop to the point where they just act in frustration.

I mean you see people doing something illegal, anything from a traffic stop to an on-foot chase and arrest, day after day after day, only to have to be the "logical" one and deesculate a confrontation with someone who can't control themselves.. I mean, it has to wear on an officer.

And then the revolving door of arrest, court/fine, release, arrest... etc.

Maybe it's not BAD White cops on black people, after all.
Maybe that was just a point someone decided to focus on in order.to put cops on a leash and defang the watchdogs of our communities.

Maybe it's really as simple as Good Guys versus Bad Guys, and cops are human have reached a breaking point .
