Tyson Fury: Anthony Joshua Was Happy to Lose; Should Stick to Bodybuilding | The Rich Eisen Show

Just because you deleted your comment about “boxing is subjective, judges score what they like”

It is scored based on the rules of scoring a fight... not what people like.

Such as(in no order)

  • Effective aggression
  • Ring Generalship
  • Defence
  • Hard and Clean punches

Yes there are wildly different scorecards, because boxing has to be one of he most corrupt sports around, this is common knowledge.

Based on that, Wilder was more aggressive but he wasn’t effective. He landed what 80 punches he entire fight, I don’t know his percentage but it was damn sure low. He controlled the ring more than Fury at times.

Defence, Wilder didn’t have any that night. Fury displayed some of the best defence I’ve ever seen against a wild power puncher.

Fury wins on hard and clean punches, Wilder landed 2 big bombs in his hundreds of awfully telegraphed attempts, Fury landed more clean and hard strikes.
