u/AnOnlineHandle leverages Hitler's childish character traits to reveal immaturity as a common element of authoritarians

Exactly. In this case the linked comment just took text from a book that is literally entitled Humans: A Brief History of How We Fucked It All Up. The book is literally written by a guy described as a "humorist" who works for a "fact-checking charity." To reiterate, the man has literally zero training or credentials as an historian. That means he has no training in the use of historical sources, engagement with wider debates in historiography, and the writing of critical historical narrative. He is a comedian-journalist who wrote a pop non-fiction book. There are ZERO reviews of the book by professional historians, meaning that THE BOOK WRITTEN BY A FACT-CHECKER DID NOT UNDERGO THE PROCESS OF FACT-CHECKING BY OTHER HISTORIANS THAT IS DEMANDED FOR SERIOUS WORKS OF HISTORICAL SCHOLARSHIP.

Of course no one here will care that the book is a piece of pop trash that was written to capitalize on present-day cynicism. Redditors are simple people: they read the scurrilous and irresponsible claim that Trump is le Hitler and they upvote.
