The part that's difficult to understand for most people is why "my culture" has anything to do with what color your skin is. Ethnic culture makes a certain amount of sense, like proud of your heritage if you're Native American or Chinese immigrant or something, there's a shared history there and likely shared experiences from the inherited cultural differences. But "black culture" presupposes that all black people have something in common that they can share in the experience of. Again, that makes sense when we're talking about ethnic backgrounds, but what shared culture do a majority of black people share? Being prejudiced against by racist assholes?

That's what a lot of white people have trouble understanding. They don't understand how just having black skin can be a culture.
