Yeah that's completely fair. It just seems like it's happened to him before, which is why he immediately went on the defensive. He could have added, "But thanks for liking my picture!" or something polite in ADDITION to asking for you to not critiquing his picture, but he didn't. So yeah, that one's on him.
Everyone else went full ham on him so in the case of those comments his defensiveness is completely justified imo.
Maybe I'm just a bit more sympathetic because I've literally deleted my own art when it got negative critiques, when I wasn't looking for critiques because I was posting fanart and not posting in an art-critique forum. Being an artist is tough, everyone wants to critique you in order to help you "improve" but you're really happy with what you drew and wanted to share it. Plus it seems the one critique he got about the pattern was more of a stylistic choice, so I can see how he saw it as kind of an insult.
In any case, making huge posts making fun of someone because their feelings got hurt, posting personal photos of them, etc, isn't really being a "grown ass bitch" imo (not directed personally at you).
