I had watched clips of his lectures on YouTube for years. I can only think of him and one Stanford professor that are recommended to me. I don’t know if they are the most popular psych professors or if YouTube algorithm likes them but I enjoyed listening. I watched clips that I’d click on when recommended for years before realizing Jordan Petersen is a right winger. Looking back he was a bit obsessive about hierarchies and religion but I just thought that’s because that is what science says and have shaped us. I still will watch videos of his from time to time. People hate him but as a poor person getting to watch free college lectures is nice. I wish I could go back to school. I’m not smart enough to be a psychologist but think it’s interesting studying peoples minds. Especially as a person who has dealt with mental health learning more gives me some hope and better understanding.
