/u/hwdcoyote describes what it's like to be a police officer

I can understand it being a stressful job but this is a bunch of horseshit. And quotes like this make me want to punch the guy myself:

And despite your noblest intentions, people will spit at you, punch you, kick you, shoot at you, curse you and your family, and wish death upon you without even knowing who you are as a person. Very rarely will anyone say thank you, or acknowledge your work.

Without even knowing who you are as a person? What I know is that when I got a DUI, the cop that did all my tests told me I could go, and as I was getting into my car to leave, another cop pulled up and told me I couldn't, and without even witnessing the tests, arrested me. The original cop didn't say a word about it.

Then that fucker lied on his police report 13 times, all of which were were corroborated by the car cam video of my tests, which were 'lost' for about 6 months before my attorney finally got it, took it to the prosecutor, who decided that even though the cop was clearly a liar, he couldn't just drop the case bc the city had a mandate to cut down on drinking and driving, so he knocked it down to a disorderly conduct (there a multiple kinds, I got the one for smelling too bad which they rarely use except on homeless people to justify arresting them, because my attorney told me it wouldn't show up on my driving record at all).

And while I was in the paddywagon, a guy got put in there perfectly sober, said he had just blown and blow a .02, and that the cop had told him he would probably beat the charge, but they had been instructed to arrest everyone tonight with anything over .00 whatsoever.

tl;dr; You know what I know about your personality, dickbag? You may be the nicest guy in the world, but until you put your own handcuffs on the asshole standing next to you for breaking the laws himself, everyone is going to fucking hate you. And rightfully so.
