I think part of this is because that is how women have some semblance of power in a world that is overwhelmingly misogynistic. We certainly can't physically overpower men and we generally can't hold as much sway in the community as men so we have become skilled at manipulating men to get an outcome we want. Not because we hate men or because we don't care about them, but because everyone will ultimately put their needs before others.

I read an article that said that when women cry it decreases testosterone in men. I don't think all women can cry on command, but I do think that this backs up my claim to an extent.

I dunno, we all have stuff to work on I guess.
