U.S. appeals court orders Utah to fund Planned Parenthood branch

Abortion is the the one area where some people don't believe that the right to bodily integrity is sacrosant. It's the outlier. And that's why it's discriminatory. Find me other examples where there I can do something to your body against your will.

Yeah, no.

There is a clear difference.

The human growing in a woman did not choose to grow inside her. He/She was forced to. They had no say in the matter.

You'll find that the few that exist pertain either to people who are not mentally competent to make decisions for themselves (and we are very cautious about doing this) or where there is a reasonable expectation that you would want steps taken to save your life (emergency medical care). This is very different from, say, forcing someone to undergo medical treatment against their will.

Ludicrous comparison.

If the right to life truly trumped the right to bodily integrity, we would be obliged to do all sorts of things in order to preserve the lives of others, regardless of the cost to ourselves.

Again, ludicrous comparison.

If you believe this, do you believe abortion up to 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, and 9 months should be legal as well?

Don't want to donate blood? Too bad. Attached to both of your kidneys? Well, Tiny Tim will die if he doesn't get one of them, so if you don't agree of your own free will to donate, we'll tie you to the hospital bed, sedate you and take it from you. We'll be doing the right thing. Hell, we think we've come up with an ebola vaccine that will save many lives, but we need to conduct human trials. Volunteers are scarce - ebola is scary - but you would make an excellent test subject.

Ridiculous and unrealistic comparisons only make your point weaker.

Think those scenarios are ludicrous? I imagine you do.

No shit.

We'd call all of those examples unethical, regardless of the fact lives were saved.

Yep.

But this exactly what you're saying should happen to women with an unwanted pregnancy.

Annnnnd you're wrong.

Because the human life did not choose to grow inside the woman. It was forced to. It had no say or choice in the matter.

That is a very key difference.

It doesn't matter what they want, or how it will impact them or their lives, or that the process may even harm or kill them, the other person's life must come first. If they don't consent, thet must be forced.

Congratulations! You approve of the execution of innocents :D!

I'm done talking to you, and in this subreddit.

Very depressing to see so many Pro-Choice people.
